Programs for Youth
Library staff love creating and organizing great family programming for our community! From storytime to character visits to escape rooms – we are always looking for fun things to provide for you!
SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2026:
Our Summer Reading Challenge runs June 8th – August 8th! Readers ages 0-18 can sign-up at the youth services desk beginning on Monday, June 8th!
Our theme for this summer is “Timeline Travelers”. We encourage you to join us not only for our Summer Reading Challenge, but also our programs as we travel back in time and explore moments in history that are unforgettable.
The Summer Reading Challenge is a great way to stop the ‘summer slide’ by encouraging kids to read all summer long with reading incentives. Readers can earn free passes and coupons to local businesses, a book from the Friends of the Library book sale and other awesome prizes!
How the Reading Challenge works:
- Pick up your reading log at the youth services desk
- Set your own reading goals, read for five days and mark the days you read on your log
- Return to the library’s youth services desk with your log to pick up an awesome prize
- Read and repeat all summer long through August 8th.
- It’s that simple!
