VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Germantown Community Library welcomes the Gift of Time from qualified volunteers. As a library volunteer you will have an opportunity to connect with your community, provide valuable services, meet new people, and expand your library knowledge and skills. DONATION OF ITEMS
Donations of new and used books, DVDs, music CDs, puzzles and board games are accepted throughout the year. These items are evaluated by library staff for the library’s collection and then given to the Friends of the Germantown Community Library for their sales.
Donation Guidelines
- Drop off your gently-used items at the library’s front desk anytime during regular library hours. For large donations, stop by the front desk and talk to a staff member before bringing items inside.
- Donation receipts for tax purposes are available upon request.
- Please do not donate damaged, moldy, or smelly items; we are unable to sell those. Consider recycling them instead.
- We do not accept: cassette tapes, textbooks, magazines, software or encyclopedia sets.
