Family Frontier Day

FAMILY FRONTIER DAY @ PIONEER VILLAGE (Saturday, September 28 @ 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

Join Monarch libraries for a day at Pioneer Village in Saukville, WI!  This fun-filled event, held rain or shine, is FREE and for all ages. Family Frontier Day @ Pioneer Village offers many indoor and outdoor activities such as period craft demonstrations, exploring buildings dating from the 1840s, pioneer games, storytime, and a scavenger hunt.  Located at: Ozaukee County Pioneer Village 4880 Cty Rd I (Saukville, WI). Lunch will be available for purchase from the Ozaukee County Historical Society. Menu includes a hot dog, soda, water, and a cookie for $5.00

Books on the Town Book Group

Target Audience: Adults (18+)

Books on the Town will meet at Ally’s Bistro in Menomonee Falls on select months. Join us for some interesting reading and lively conversation.

Patrons will be responsible for purchase of their dinner and beverages.  Registration is required. Please call the library at 262-253-7760 to sign up.  Attendance is limited to 20 people.

TECH TALKS (Tuesdays @ 2:00 p.m.)

Join us for informational sessions on using library resources and databases.  Each month we will focus on 1-2 different topics.  Registration is required.  Please call or visit the library to sign-up.

Muzik Bande in Concert

MUZIK BANDE IN CONCERT (Monday, September 23 @ 7:00 p.m.)

Join us for a concert by the Muzik Bande.  Germantown’s own multicultural ensemble will perform a variety of German polkas, waltzes, and folk songs.   Reception to follow.

Early Literacy Party

EARLY LITERACY PARTY (Saturday, September 21 @ 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.)

You are invited to a party celebrating talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing with characters from Paw Patrol!  Learn about our early literacy programs and participate in crafts, sensory stations and activities. A special storytime will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the Community Room.  Activities are geared for ages 0-7, but all ages are welcome.

Outsmart the Scammers

OUTSMART THE SCAMMERS (Thursday, September 19 @ 3:00 p.m.)

Incidents of fraud are on the rise, and scammers’ tactics are becoming more complex.  Join Jon Hafemann, Financial Advisor for Edward Jones for an informational presentation to give you the information you need to Outsmart the Scammers.  During the program, we’ll discuss how to spot certain red flags that may indicate a fraudulent encounter, resources individuals can turn to in the event they or loved ones are targeted, and steps attendees can take to help protect themselves and loved ones.  To reserve space for yourself and a guest at the educational workshop, please call the library at (262) 253-7760 or sign-up through the library website no later than September 12.
