2024 Patio Project

PATIO UPDATE: OCTOBER 15, 2024

The Germantown Community Library is excited to announce that instruments in the musical garden have now been installed on our outdoor Patio.

Early literacy play items and umbrellas will be put during regular library hours in May-October.

Our Patio Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce was held on Friday, June 28. The project includes concrete work by Cervantes Concrete Services LLC – which doubles the previous footprint and adds and ADA pathway and area for a bike rack.  Additional items include two new picnic benches, play houses, a musical instrument area and other early literacy items.

DONATIONS APPRECIATED

The Germantown Community Library is proud to state that the project was 100% funded by donations.  We have raised about $45,000 – 90% of our total goal of $50,000 for the project.  The patio area has bricks left available to be engraved in recognition for donations starting at $100. All future donations will go towards funding our musical instrument garden (sponsored my the Germantown MOMS Club in memory of Alison Bruno). Don’t miss your chance to be part of this project and leave a legacy for decades to come!

The next brick order is due on Saturday, January 4, 2025! Due to production/shipping time & winter weather, bricks will be installed in spring 2025. The library will contact you when your brick is installed!
