Online / Grab & Go Programs

The majority of our in-person programs have been put on hold due to COVID-19 until further notice. Below is our list of online and Grab & Go programs for September through December 2020.  All kits can be picked up at the Welcome Table in the lobby.


AVAILABLE ANYTIME GRAB & GO KITS

Grab & Go kits are available anytime the library is open for kids & teens/adults in the lobby of the library.  First-come-first-serve.


FALL 2020 BOOK WALKS

Enjoy visiting parks & locations in Germantown this fall while reading a few picture books along the way.  Book Walk activity kits are available in the lobby for all 3 walks.  Please help us by practicing social distancing!

 

 

  • Sept 14 – 26: Early Literacy Book Walk @ Kinderberg Park (Germantown)
  • Oct 19 – 31: Halloween Book Walk @ Schoen Laufen Park (Germantown)
  • Nov 14 – Dec 4: Holiday Lights Book Walk @ Pathway Outside the Library

VIRTUAL PROGRAMS FOR KIDS & FAMILIES

LIVE STORYTIME WITH JACKIE!

Join Miss Jackie for a Facebook Live storytime on Fridays mornings at 10:30am running September 18 – December 4. The recording will be available through our Facebook page and listed below. Intended for ages 0-5, but all are welcome to join in on the fun!  All videos will be deleted within 30 days of original date posted due to copyright restrictions.

AT HOME KITS FOR KIDS & FAMILIES

ADVENTURES IN ART (At Home Edition – registration required)

Registration is required and starts 2 weeks before each date.  Register through our online calendar or by calling the Youth Services Desk at (262) 253-7760.  Ages 5-11. Take home a kit that includes most of the supplies necessary to complete the art project.  Projects can be picked up at the Welcome Desk in the library lobby.  Projects must be picked up within 7 days of the date offered.

STEAM CLUB (At Home Edition – registration required)

Registration is required and starts 2 weeks before each date.  Register through our online calendar or by calling the Youth Services Desk at (262) 253-7760.  Ages 5-11.  Stop at the Welcome Table in the lobby to pick up your STEAM Club – At Home Edition Kit.  Each kit will include most or all of the necessary supplies to complete that week’s activity.  Detailed directions are included along with extra information about each topic of exploration.

Kits available for kids/families & teens/adults at the Welcome Desk in the library lobby.  Kits includes a list of movies and related activities to complete at home.  No registration required. Limited supply.  First-come-first-serve.  Please note that not all movies will be free to watch, but we will include a list of streaming services where movies can be viewed from or rented online.
