    ANCORA STRING QUARTET (Tuesday, September 10 @ 6:00 p.m.)

The Ancora String Quartet returns to the library this fall.  Verdi, Puccini, and Donizetti: three great Italian composers known for their many masterpiece operas.  However, each one also wrote beautiful works for string quartet as well. This fall, the Ancora Quartet’s program consists of three such works: Verdi’s String Quartet in E minor, Donizetti’s Quartet No. 7 in F Minor, and Puccini’s “Chrysanthemums” in C-sharp minor.  Come hear how vocal and dramatic four string players can be!
