CLASSICAL MUSIC CONVERSATIONS WITH RALPH SIMONEAU

Join retired music teacher and classical music enthusiast Ralph Simoneau for lively discussions of classical music composers and their music.  Listen to sonatas, symphonies, concertos, canons, and more with a whole new appreciation.  We will listen to classical music and enjoy refreshments for an hour.

ADULT LITERACY PARTNERSHIP INFORMATION MEETING (Monday, July 30 @ 6:00 p.m.)

Please join us for an information meeting regarding the Adult Literacy Partnership between the Germantown Community Library and the Adult Literacy Center of Ozaukee County.  We are seeking adult learners in the community that will be provided one-on-one tutoring to improve English (ESL), complete GED requirements, and/or improve reading comprehension.  We are also looking for adult tutors to volunteer about two hours per week.  Training will be provided by the Adult Literacy Center.


HOW TO RAISE YOUR OWN MONARCH BUTTERFLIES WITH SHELLY CULEA (Tuesday, July 31 @ 6:00 p.m.)

Monarch butterfly expert Shelly Culea returns to the Germantown Community Library to discuss how to raise your own Monarch butterfly. Now is the time to see live examples of Monarch eggs, larva, caterpillar, and chrysalis which will be on display. Don’t miss it!


KNIT-A THON (Saturday, August 4 @ 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.)

Please join us at the Menomonee Falls Public Library for our first annual Knit-a-Thon!!   Help Wisconsin babies by making baby hats for the Period of Purple Crying. We will have demonstrations and give-a-ways. Bring your patterns and share our favorites.

BIRDING 101 WITH DIANNE ROBINSON @ SCHOEN LAUFEN PARK (Tuesday, August 21 @ 10:00 a.m.)

Meet DNR wildlife biologist Dianne Robinson as she discusses how to listen for and observe the birds living around us. Birdwatching is a fun recreational activity for the entire family. Program will be held at the Schoen Laufen Park Shelter in Germantown.  Weather permitting, Dianne will lead a birding hike.


INTRODUCTION TO CODING (Tuesday, August 21 @ 11:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m.)
