    Feel free to drop in anytime during the event.  All ages are welcome – we will have a variety of projects available for all skill levels.  All supplies provided.

    Meet Kevin Wood of Oak Park, IL as he portrays President Abraham Lincoln. Hear about our nation’s twelve turbulent years from 1854-1865. Some of Mr. Lincoln’s best-known speeches and writings, including his “House Divided” speech, his First and Second Inaugural addresses, his Gettysburg Address, and his Emancipation Proclamation will be included.

    Presentation with question & answer session and reception to follow.

    Target Audience: Adults (18+)

    The Dive into Dewey!: Strictly Nonfiction Book Group meets the 1st Friday of each month from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the library’s large meeting room.  Join us for some interesting reading and lively conversation.  No registration is required. All are welcome!  Free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate provided by the Friends of the Germantown Community Library!

    Copies of the selected books are available at the Circulation Desk. Please bring your library card to check out a copy.

    Read Across America with Dr. Seuss

    Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday at the library!  We will have a special Dr. Seuss storytime at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Seuss crafts, activities, treats, and a photo booth and scavenger hunt will be available throughout the day.

    Target Audience: Geared to 3 – 5 year olds, but children of all ages are welcome!

    Tuesdays @ 10:30 a.m.

    • No sign up is required, just drop in!
    • Storytime lasts about 30 minutes.
    • Storytime is followed by a craft or activity.

    Join us for stories, movement and music geared for preschoolers. Storytime is a great way to introduce growing kids to books, social interaction and lifelong learning!

    Preschool Storytime is held during sessions throughout the year.  Check our website for specific dates and themes.
