    Straw Bale Gardening with Joey and Holly Baird.  Calling all gardening enthusiasts! Meet Joey and Holly Baird, founders of The Wisconsin Vegetable Gardener, as they share how to grow food in a different type of container- a straw bale! You will be inspired to try straw bale gardening this growing season.

    9:30 – 10:00 a.m.: Cleaning & Servicing of Hearing Aids (no appointment needed)

    9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Hearing Screens (call Chenoa James at 262-502-1799 to schedule an appointment)

    Free Blood Pressure Screens

    If not on-call, the Germantown Fire Department will be available to provide free blood pressure screens on the 1st Tuesday of every month from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.  No appointment is needed, but please feel free to call the library at 262-253-7760 that morning to see if the Fire Department is available.

  • Preschool Storytime

    • Storytime lasts about 30 minutes.
    • Storytime is followed by a craft or activity.

    Join us for stories, movement and music geared for preschoolers. Storytime is a great way to introduce growing kids to books, social interaction and lifelong learning!

    Feel free to drop in anytime during the event.  All ages are welcome – we will have a variety of projects available for all skill levels.  All supplies provided.

    Join us for a special storytime with a stuffed animal!  We will have bedtime stories, songs, and snacks.  After the program, leave your stuffed animal for a fun overnight adventure!  Stuffed animals can be picked up on Thursday, April 12 or Friday, April 13.  Follow the fun online via Facebook!

  • Memory Screening

    3rd Wednesday on select months @ 1:00 – 4:00 p.m.

    A memory screen is a wellness tool that helps identify possible changes in memory and cognition.  It creates a baseline of where a person is at so that future changes can be monitored.  It’s free and only takes 10 minutes.

    Memory screenings are available through the Aging & Disability Resource Center of Washington County to anyone and can be scheduled by calling Tammy Dickman at 262-335-4497.
